Using your detector

Hold the tool vertically and parallel to the stud, keeping it flat against the wall as you scan slowly. Avoid shaking, tilting or pressing hard, and keep your fingertips on the handle rather than the contact surface.

The HW430 runs on a 9V battery, which is not included. Install a battery before use.
